In 2011, I disappeared into the wilderness to record music in my home studio. When I emerged, I had autoharp and vocals for about sixty songs completed. I invited a host of Celtic musicians to record on the albums. The first album released was an original album of folk songs about hobbits called Don't Go Drinking With Hobbits. The second highlighted Irish songs and was named Not Every Day Is St. Patrick's Day. This album topped the charts on iTunes and Amazon. Now I need your help to release the final songs from this session. This album is Scottish Songs of Drinking & Rebellion.
My name is Marc Gunn. I'm called The Celtfather because I spent years going against the grain. While the record industry terrorized MP3.com and Napster, I gave my music away for free. When the RIAA sued its customers, I encouraged my fans to share my music. While radio stations lamented the internet radio boom, I created podcasts to share the Celtic music I love.
Without the internet, no one might know my name. Without the thousands of Gunn Runners, I wouldn't be able to release eleven albums in five years.

Scottish Songs of Drinking & Rebellion is very dear to my heart. Scottish songs were my first introduction to Celtic music. I remember going to the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. I remember kilts and clans. I remember bagpipes blaring and telephone polls flying (well, that's what I called the caber toss, anyway). I remember sitting underneath a table while my dad played the banjo in a community center with other folk music lovers. I am excited to share my love, and memories, of Scottish music with you!
