New age instrumental and solo piano music for meditation and relaxation.
Notes
Motivating and Inspiring Others to Higher Ground
Steve was born in Dayton Ohio in 1954 and after years in the Gem City went to Cincinnati to study architecture at UC's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. After early years in engineering he finally ended up at glaserworks Architecture and Urban Design (www.glaserworks.com) where he is currently Managing Principal of the 30 person firm.
In the early nineties and upon being challenged in most of life's circumstances, Steve attended the Basic Seminar with the late great Jim Quinn. That was just the beginning. After Basic and IPI seminars, he volunteered within the Basic Seminar every month for over 10 years.
Steve's fondness for meditative and ambient music started at a younger age when learning to play the piano. He would spend countless hours playing anything that came to mind, and in this way, spent hours meditating to the sound of music. That interest continued later in life with an interest in New Age music, especially meditative and contemplative songs. After the gift of a piano he started playing anything that came to mind while letting in the melodies of life.
The recording really started after he lost his son, Ryan, at the age of seventeen, in a car accident in 2003. It was a tremendous healing process during those following years and the result was some great music filled with feeling. "upon his leaving", Steve's first CD is about Ryan. "His passing was a tremendous catapault. I couldn't let his leaving go unnoticed."
Steve consults as a facilitator, motivating and inspiring others to higher ground, using his music for visualization and guided meditations. His mission is simply to motivate and inspire others to view life differently in order to increase awareness, promote growth, and make a positive difference.
He lives in Cincinnati, is a member of numerous boards, married to Leesa, with two daughters, and a dog, Trapper. When not in the architectural or recording studios you will find him on some stream fly fishing.
