Notes
The long awaited debut EP from Tony Brown is set to release on Saturday February 21, 2015 at Theatre 166 in Carrollton, Tx. The project titled "The First Four", is Brown's inaugural offering, as he expands beyond his previous involvement in music as a concert Promoter/Producer, into the realm of Singer/Songwriter/Performer. Brown enlisted the help of some heavy hitters in the Country music genre to ensure the sound, and the feel of "The First Four" would accurately reflect the traditional Country music personality that is embedded deep within his soul. Rudy Gatlin (Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers) added his voice to the mix on background vocals for "Waiting on the Stones". WS "Fluke" Holland (Legendary drummer for Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash's only drummer for almost forty years) sat in on drums for the initial session. Milo Deering (multi-instrumentalist for LeAnn Rimes and many others) shared his expansive talents on pedal steel, dobro, mandolin, and even a little electric bass. Theresa Spanke (Bakersfield multi-genre singer) added a splash of flavor with her sultry background vocals, as well as insightful creative input into the entire project. The project also features Pete Miller on upright bass, Dave Walser (Beetlegrass, Sgt Peppers Lonely Bluegrass Band) on acoustic guitar, Jerry Matheny(LeAnn Rimes) on electric guitar, Tommy Young on Hammond B3 organ, Randy Wills (The Singing Wills Family) on Grand piano, and Danny Cochran (Band of Brothers) on drums.
