Notes
Jamie Lee Blue was born James Lee Emmons, and grew up in the small town of French Lick, Indiana. He was raised by his grandparents while his mother worked in a television factory. His grandfather played violin, and his great uncle played guitar. Nearly every evening there was music in the house. People came from all over to jam old folk tunes and country ballads.
At the age of 11 Jamie saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show, and was blown away. He had always loved to listen to music, and now he wanted to make his own. Jamie's mother bought him his first guitar; a Kingston Swinger Guitar with a 5 watt tube amplifier. This was quite an investment for his mother, $35 brand new - a full weeks wage for a 1965 factory worker. Jamie learned power chords the first week he had his guitar, and started banging out 3 chord tunes. In a short while he had mastered Majors, Minors, and Seventh chords.
At the age of twelve he had a working band, "The Frantics". He was writing original songs before he even realized it. Jamie's early bands covered The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and The Monkees. Soon Jamie began to lean more and more toward the blues. He fell in love with the song Stormy Monday, still one of his best covers.
Jamie has spent his life writing songs and playing guitar. He now lives in Panama City Beach, FL. If asked what he would like to do with the rest of his life, he will tell you: write new music and play the guitar until the lights go out.
