Think shoegaze and grunge with hints of punk or something like that.

Following up their well received debut LP "Asleep in the Graveyard" (a joint release by Robotic Empire and Sons of Vesta), Tideland have completed their sophomore effort, "Lull", a heavy, hazy, hook-laden grunge masterpiece, borrowing from such influences as Joy Division, New Order, The Replacements, and Sonic Youth. Lull shows the band progressing, but not departing from the unique sound the are known for. Pop punk and indie rock songwriting is flawlessly infused with noisy, shoegazey, atmospheric guitar work that echoes lyrical themes of love, loss, isolation and death. Lull leaves the listener with a feeling of melancholia, but also with a lingering sense of hope.
