Description
Two unique performers come together to give you a soulful mix of folk, classical, jazz and R&B tunes for voice and harp.
Notes
Addi & Jacq are professional musicians living in NYC. They met working at the Off-Broadway musical The Fantasticks. Coming from very different backgrounds, their unique experiences and styles have blended to create a soulful mix of folk, classical, jazz and R&B. Their music is intimate and honest, their greatest influences drawn from Paul Simon, Antony & the Johnsons, Radiohead, India Arie, Ben Sollee & Rufus Wainwright, among others.
The LA Times has praised McDaniel as "a dynamo with a brass-plated voice", and "eclectic harpist" Kerrod, who maintains a varied career as soloist, chamber and orchestral musician has been noted as "an exceptionally virtuosic and sensitive harpist".
Their songs were initially inspired and loosely based on missed connections ads on Craigslist. This idea grew into the broader theme of human connection, ever fascinated by the stories of how people come into each other’s lives. Moving on to the stories of their closest friends and family, they soon had a handful of songs they felt very proud of.
Collectively Addi McDaniel and Jacqueline Kerrod have performed all over NYC including Lincoln Center, The Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, Birdland & Joe’s Pub. They are currently recording their first album.
