OK, it's 1988.  I had been writing songs for about 9 months straight and rehearsing the band 6 nights a week so we were primed and ready to hit that record button.  The band and I went into the studio and came out 3 weeks later. The deal was penned with Rampage/Capital records
and released about six weeks after that. With its release came incredible press and some amazing radio, charts, and sales positions throughout the world.
Geoff Barton, founder of Kerrang Magazine, gave the Only Child album the highest rating ever to be given by the magazine and that acclaim still holds true today.
Funny story..."I Believe in You" was our first scheduled single and video release.  It was even called the "I Believe in You Video Shoot."  Shooting “Save a Place in Your Heart" was an afterthought and shot after an intensely grueling day of shooting our "real video."  Someone made a good call because everything changed in a matter of a few
days. They pulled the “I Believe in You” singles that were shipping and replaced them with “Save a Place in Your Heart” due to overwhelming radio response... DJ'S RULE!  You would think someone would have checked with
them sooner…
1988 was a great year in rock history and I had no idea that I was going change a piece of that history with this album. ...And for that honor, I could never thank all of my fans enough!

Sincerely,
Paul Sabu
