Description
An epic opus by Franz List, epitomizing his own vicissitudes of life unfolding in breathtakingly splendid scenery in Switzerland, is performed by the artist, worthy of being called virtuosa with her intricate technique and sensibility cultivated in Europe
Notes
My first encounter with her piano performance was back in the autumn of 2010, when I received a demonstration sound source that she had recorded for our pianist audition related to this release.
A minute was enough for me to realize that she is just the woman for this project. I did not read through all the details found in her resume. I just read that "she lived in Hungary." Just in time for the 200th anniversary of Franz Liszt's birth, I have decided to start our label and to release a complete recording of all of Liszt's "Années de pèlerinage. " by three capable young pianists. It did not require much time for me to make a decision to entrust "Première année" to her.
When I informed her of my decision via Twitter, she willingly acceded to my request.
It was eight months later that I met her in person for the first time. I had been looking forward to seeing what kind of pianist she was. No sooner had the recording begun than the air in the recording studio got filled with her passionate piano performance that was hard to imagine from her appearance. I was grateful for the encounter with such a great artist that deserves to be called a "virtuosa" in Liszt's hometown.
At present, she is energetically performing mainly in Osaka, Japan, which is near her hometown. The day will not be so far when her second and third CDs will be released from our label. Also, for our label, this CD is the first and memorable recording.
