Description
Take smartass lyrics, tons o' hooks, harmonies and crunchy guitars, then throw in production by Mitch Easter and you've got The Mockers--pure power pop with a twist of bitters.
Notes
"As thrilling as seeing Keith Moon kick over his kit or Ray Davies punch his brother Dave in the mouth. Yeah, it's that good."--PHOENIX NEW TIMES
"The Mockers have a knack for catchy tunes, dealing great hooks with ease. And this album has so many hooks, you'll feel you've just lasted ten rounds with Tyson. Totally inspiring."--THE BIG TAKEOVER
"Living In The Holland Tunnel is a killer collection of contemporary power pop--think smart lyrics, ear-candy arrangements and production courtesy of Mitch Easter."--
MAGNET
"Billboard's Critic's Choice--Top Ten of the Year. The Mockers guitars and tight harmonies frame refreshingly original, catchy melodies and irresistible hooks that are memorable after just one listen."--
BILLBOARD
The Mockers are: Seth Gordon (vocals/guitar) and Tony Leventhal (vocals/bass), with lead guitarist/vocalist Robbie Rist (you might also know Robbie for his legendary work as "Cousin Oliver" on the Brady Bunch), and drummer/vocalist Nelson Bragg (who is also the newest member of Beach Boy Brian Wilson's band).
"Holland Tunnel" was produced and recorded by Mitch Easter(REM, Velvet Crush, Suzanne Vega, Pavement) at his Fidelitorium in Kernersville, North Carolina.
