The band recruited Marlon Young writer and guitar player extraordinaire as well as producer Al Sutton both of Kid Rock fame on songs "No DOA on Sunday","Skill Of The Kill" and "Time Bomb USA".

Notes

Sponge has proven to be one of the Motor City's heaviest hitters after gaining international notoriety with 1994's debut album "Rotting Piñata." Emerging out of Detroit with hits like "Plowed" and "Molly (16 Candles)" Sponge received massive airplay on radio stations from coast to coast and were in heavy rotation on MTV. After "Rotting Piñata" went Gold, the band toured internationally, sharing the stage with Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Live. Sponge was also a featured artist at Lollapalooza in both 1995 and 1996. The band stood out as one of the 1990's most charismatic live acts. Front man Vinnie Dombroski's powerful voice, heart-on-his- sleeve lyrics and stage presence captivated numerous audiences and still continues to bring down any house he steps in. Sponge's follow up CD to Rotting Piñata, the critically lauded Wax Ecstatic included the hit songs "Wax Ecstatic" and "Have You Seen Mary?" They followed up with their third release New Pop Sunday and several Soundtrack and compilation appearances. Sponge's Idol Records debut, For All the Drugs in the World, is a swirling sonic attack that has it's roots in the classic rock of Aerosmith and The Rolling Stones, 70's glam and of course, the Motor City influences of The Stooges, The MC5 and Motown-but at the same time sounds like nothing else.
In recent years Sponge fans have seen the release of records like
The Man (2005) and Galore Galore (2008) as the band continues to bring it’s live
show to all points across the U.S.
