Description

Songs inspired by sacred images from around the world -- new age, world beat, light jazz.

Notes

Songs inspired by sacred images from around the world. Float on the Celestial Sea, an ocean of beautiful sound. Dance to the drums of Eresh Kigal. Journey with the Green Man through the wheel of the year. Taste the rich steamy coffee house jazz of the Tara Suite. The result of 25 years of supporting spiritual growth. A sampler of original songs: Contemporary, devotional, new age, world beat, light jazz. Puts the music back in new age music.

We the staff of Sacred Source, steeped as we are in the powerful energy of many deity images, found ourselves with a wellspring of musical inspiration. We created this CD as a sound offering. Sacred Source was founded 25 years ago by a man working with Mother Teresa in Calcutta, India. After receiving the blessing of a Hindu Saint, he helped establish a fair trade village creating sacred images to sell in the United States. Today we produce over 500 statues and sacred images. The diverse origins of the songs on the CD are reflective of our own distinct origins as well as the eclectic diversity of deities we provide.

This music is ripe and full of Goddess energy. Great for Pagan ritual, Eastern style movement, and energy healing -- both uplifting and claming as needed.

The title, Spirit, comes from agnostic view of the four elements. The disc itself is manufactured from earthen metal. The sound it produces is carried on the air. The songs reveal a topic of water and the graphics show a theme of fire. The fifth element, spirit, binds them all together into a working whole.
