Description
We write and record our version of Pop Music - influenced by Eighties pop, Krautrock and Post-Punk, using real drums, guitars and electronics
Notes
Neil and Brett were once part of a hugely popular Norwich band called Screen 3, back in the post-punk early eighties. Screen 3 began as a three-piece, playing a brittle punk-pop, and morphed into a five-piece brassy pop band, once they signed to Epic Records.
After many years spent playing in diverse groups in various parts of the globe, they have recently returned to Norfolk and have teamed up to create some exciting new music.
Brett's real drums, their non-programmed keyboards, and guitars – coupled with Neil's vocals and lyrics, create a new and varied sound, combining melody with experimental influences. They love eighties pop but they also love psychedelia, krautrock, glam rock and punk.
The new album contains ten songs and comes in at under forty minutes. Home-produced but defiantly not low-fi and definitely not fitting within that now-meaningless genre 'indie-rock', bn deluxe are fresh, optimistic and ageless.
