Description
Tracks From The Future is a collaboration from the core 4or3ver7he4am (ForEver The Fam) members. Taking the theme from the Back to the Future series, the album brings a futuristic sound to the present day music scene.
Notes
4or3ver7he4am (pronounced “For Ever The Fam”) is a collection of Hip-Hop artists from Kalamazoo, Michigan. We consist of a group of conscience and street rappers, singers, and spoken word poets. 4or3ver7he4am has been making music in Kalamazoo basically all of our individual lives, but decided to combine our efforts in the mid-2000’s as a Hip-Hop Superhero team. You can think of us as the real-life X-Men and every album, mixtape, and collaboration as another issue in the musical comic series.
Many of the members also participate in the visual arts and have sold or given away many pieces to various organizations in and around Kalamazoo. These organizations include Kalamazoo Public Schools, Kalamazoo Valley Community College and even other local artists as part of their album artwork.
4or3ver7he4am has a very distinctive sound that is unique to the Kalamazoo area. Imagine Dungeon Family meets Wu-Tang and N.W.A. The topics we choose to talk about in our music reflect our daily lives. It is positive, uplifting and empowering to our fans. We touch on a variety of topics and speak to people with all types of backgrounds.
4or3ver7he4am is not only a musical group. We are a movement with a very simple but to-the-point mission statement: Promoting the Arts. 4or3ver7he4am plans on encouraging other local artists while giving back to the community. We would like to work with people from all around the city in order to develop a center for urban art. Whatever kind of art it may be, we believe all art has its beauty and the world is a better place with it.
