7th Order's "The Initiate's Journey, 2003-13" is a career retrospective from Hawaii's premier rock & roll band...it includes radio staples like "The Lake of Memory" (an alternate mix) and "Road to Yerevan", as well as a few unreleased live/studio numbers.

"The Initiate's Journey, 2003–13" is the band's career retrospective...their most popular songs, plus alternate mixes, re-mastered songs, studio outtakes and a rare live performance of "100 Year Rain" from Seattle TV.

from Wikipedia:

"7th Order is an American progressive rock & roll band whose debut "extended play" CD release, The Lake of Memory, was issued on the Big Island Sounds label in 2007 (although 7th Order had been together for several years by that time). The band has, at various times, been assisted by veteran British guitarist Martin Pugh (formally of the 60's British "blues-boom" band, Steamhammer, as well as Armageddon with The Yardbirds vocalist Keith Relf, and "The Rod Stewart Album" with Ron Wood & Keith Emerson), drummer Tim Kelliher (of Randy Hansen's Machine Gun), and legendary American rock guitarist Geoff Thorpe (of Vicious Rumors). Reviewers have recognized their particular sound as reminiscent of blues-rock bands like The Rolling Stones & The Yardbirds, with progressive undertones ala Led Zeppelin".

Reviewers comments:

"Rock & roll bands come and go - but from day one, 7th Order had already left their mark. They've somehow managed to channel full-on "rave-up" bands like The Yardbirds better than anyone else I have heard, and bring that sound in to the modern day - meanwhile, still putting their own stamp on everything they do." Steven B. Williams, KIKI Radio (Honolulu) and KPBI Radio (Denver)

"7th Order is one of the most exciting new bands we have heard. The vocals by Daniel Jones are gritty & soulful, set against Martin Pugh & Geoff Thorpe's background dueling guitars. 'The Lake of Memory' is an all-star jam...not overbearing...powerful & light in all the right places. We can't wait to see them live." Rico Garfunkel "Music on my Mind" Defunkt Magazine, SF Francisco, CA

"7th Order - this is one powerful band. By my 3rd listen, they got me...I had my 150 watt per channel monitor amp cranking - and this amazing "new/old" sound had me begging for more. Simply put - awesome stuff" Mick Spillane, WNTI FM Hackettstown, NJ

"7th Order's power and class is very evident - I've no doubt that they will be one of the bands that'll put rock & roll back where it belongs, way ahead of anything else on radio nowadays" Leon Economides, DJ on SAFM, South Africa

"I'm playing the daylights out of 7th Order on my show, and the listeners can't seem to get enough. Many have tried, but very few have captured all the great elements of guitar-based rock the way this band has - heavy, light - not pretentious. Great vocals, song structure and musicianship...7th Order has it all" Stan Hilborn - 98.5 CKWR Ontario, Canada
