Description

Brooding, relentless death metal, fused together tightly by disharmonious elements of black metal, the bursting fury of grind and the sheer oppressive nature of doom. "Musically, this is one of the heaviest things I’ve ever heard." --Cheryl Lynn, Undead G

Notes

Hailing from the high desert of Santa Fe, New Mexico comes the powerhouse of incessant darkness that is Dysphotic. Featuring musicians already prolific in local scences, Dysphotic hosts a cruel concoction emphasizing on metal’s most sinister sub-genres. Featuring founding members Zac Hogan (ex-Drought) on guitar and Ben Durfee (As In We) on drums, the group rapidly assimilated into its fullest form, joined by bassist Augustine Ortiz (Carrion Kind) and vocalist Pascual Romero (ex-Pathology, ex-In This Moment). With an intent on capitalizing on a vision of relentless darkness, Dysphotic’s wide array of influences translate into a hybridization of pummeling, grinding death metal and menacing black metal, bound together tightly by sweeping undercurrents of doom. Undeadgoathead.com raves "Musically, this is one of the heaviest things I’ve ever heard. The oppressive soundscapes of crushing guitars and ruthless percussion are broken by the occasional pickslide or faint suggestion of melody, but otherwise, this will murderfuck your brain and eardrums into beautiful oblivion."
