When not writing novels, I write music: the kind of music I like to listen to while I write novels. This album covers the quieter, ambient style of classically inspired trip hop most people fall asleep to. This keeps me typing. Now: back to the novels.

The kind of music most people fall asleep to keeps me awake, and it keeps me writing. That about sums up most music I listen to, so it was only a matter of time before I decided to take a stab at writing music like it. Eight years later, I had an album I felt was worthy of the many, many albums that led me here.
This New Wilderness is the new wilderness I forged into when I set aside writing novels to compose, to arrange, and to inspire. I don't read my own books after I finish them; I just put them away and start on the next one. This album? I listen to it all the time because it's the seed of my inspiration, the seed of my stories.
