Herding Cats is the first release from producer Colby Devereux since moving to Brooklyn from Oxford, Mississippi 7 years ago. Under the influence of time, the album shows a more refined sound yet rawer as well. Maintaining elaborate arrangements, the album hones the sonic sensibilities that have been developing over the years and through many albums. The spirits of Hendrix, Bowie, and Roky Erickson weigh in here.
