Our concept ? 4 short albums in 1 year - a sort of initiatory path, inspired by the 4 Noble Truths of Buddha.
Our sound ? Psyche-Folk Lo-Fi. A blend of acoustic and electro, colored by unexpected sounds.
This is Dukkha, the first album of this tetralogy !

Influenced by Buddha's Four Noble Truths, about: presents a tetralogy of 4 short-albums, of 4 songs each, to be released over 1 year. Like an initiation journey, about: is attached to the human perception, and is in search of the beauty that can lie within imperfection. All of that through an innovative concept.
about: is a multifaceted band, which likes to mash-up and explore: acoustic and electronic, unexpected tones, to deliver a Psyche-folk Lo-Fi feeling.

In their first album, Dukkha, one stumbles upon songs that really challenges the listener. Some pieces provoke, others move people, but none leave indifferent: they open a door to a timeless universe.

"Scream" opens the album with a cinematographic atmosphere. Carried by a slightly husky voice, surrounded by a landscape of mysterious sounds, this song perfectly translates the dark and powerful side of the first noble truth.

"Peur" is the french lyrics piece of the album, and assumes a stronger electronic music influence. With moving honest lyrics, mixed with a bright instrumentalisation, we can discover through this song all the authenticity and the personality of the band.

"Charlie" introduces a weird and experimental genre. While we can hear the sound of the bass vibrating under a bow, the piano goes on a journey with a delicate melody. As for the voice, it lays the chattering words with a troubling fragility.

"Cry" ends this album in style, with more pop references. Emotions follow one another: between intimacy and explosion, between a pure melody and a moving dark voice. In spite of its name, this song is set to bring hope to those who didn’t think it existed anymore.
