Notes
Seattle, Washington electronic act [A]BrilliantMassacr[E] was started by singer/songwriter, Sean Whitman in 2006, inspired by a diverse list of artists like Depeche Mode, Front 242, The Beatles, Giorgio Moroder and R&B producer Timbaland, Sean first began recording the album titled "Science Fiction" with collaborative assistance (and inevitable band mate) from Roger Jarvis of HEX/Rx. Without the constraints of time or expectation they focused on only the strongest musicianship and production value.
Over the following 5 years, the project evolved first under the name The Cut (with a brief digital-only release titled "3Blindwords") then eventually leading to the more concise [A]Brilliant Massacr[E] with a highly evolved sound both infectious and dark punctuated by aggressive and melodic synths and guitars layered over and under Sean's brooding vocals. With self-fulfillment through self-destruction, Sean and Roger tweaked and fine-tuned the sound and concept to a bulletproof and timeless finish.
With a small but devoted fan base cultivated through various social media, college radio station spins and electronic underground club exposure, [A]Brilliant Massacr[E] inspired Chicago-based electronic label Negative Gain Productions to sign and promote the first complete album with the title track and single "Science Fiction" remixed by Daniel Myer (Haujobb/Destroid) and Tom Shear (Assemblage23) and a remix of the single "Brilliant Massacre" by HEX/Rx. A debut performance is scheduled for September 22nd, 2012 at Live Wire Lounge in Chicago. Sean and Roger anticipate a West Coast tour in 2013.
