Commissioned by a Douglas County, Missouri landowner, Emily’s fourth album of acoustic folk original songs highlights the beauty and geographical features of the Missouri Ozarks, the landowner’s hobbies of beekeeping, rock wall building, and mead brewing.
Notes
Emily is an accomplished performing singer-songwriter who has delivered her original music to audiences at house concerts, festivals, coffeehouses, restaurants, live radio interviews and performances, listening rooms and concert halls. She is a former member of two acoustic folk trios, The RedHouse WoodPickers and Three Left Feet.
Since 2009, Emily has been producer and host of the weekly radio show "The Mulberry Tree" airing on KSMU, Springfield, Missouri's NPR affiliate station, at 10 p.m. CST. The Mulberry Tree features tracks from singer-songwriters and musicians under the folk umbrella.
In addition to “91 Acres,” Emily has previously released three collections, "Singing River" (2001), "The House at the End of the Road" (2004) and "On the Square" (2008).
Emily resides in the beautiful Missouri Ozarks.
