Description

Often with an aggressive strum and with melodies of a quieter contemplation, 28 Decibels shows Rob Borges’ progression from his punk rock days with the band Zoinks! toward a more singular and unified vision.

Notes

The album “Threats for Telling” is a culmination of a year of songwriting. After letting his guitar freeze in his Reno, NV garage for a few winters, Rob Borges brought his guitar back inside, changed his strings and started writing again. Songs on this album reflect a more somber tempo and focus than previous works. Still often with an aggressive strum and with melodies of a quieter contemplation, 28 Decibels shows Borges’ progression from his punk rock days with the band Zoinks! toward a more singular and unified vision. This album pivots anguish and uncertainty into quiet, often isolated celebrations. The result is an album of balancing memory with an excitement for tomorrow. This is his first solo project.
