Description
The Underground Youth blend the sounds of shoegaze, post-punk and psychedelic rock with their own hauntingly beautiful twist. The creative project of Craig Dyer was started in 2008 and is currently based in Manchester.
Notes
Recorded between August 2014 and January 2015, Haunted marks a distancing from the Psychedelic atmospheres of the origins to a more radical 1980s Noise and Post-Punk sound, which was already palpable in their last EP, Beautiful & Damned. However, as for their previous releases, they have been faithful to their key purposes and DIY aesthetics and have not lost their unique taste for Pop melodies, which make them so special. It was religiously home recorded in their Manchester studio, with the contribution of producer James Shillito and it is the damning evidence that The Underground Youth are one of the few guitar bands to be able to craft beautiful songs and mesmerize crowds, using such simple and spontaneous recording techniques.
