Description

A dynamic, pop-influenced trio of brothers whose creative style not only draws the listener in, but ultimately impacts the heart with songs born out of their collective life experiences.

Note

Given the fact that 3union’s parents are both musicians, these brothers would tell you they didn’t have a chance, they were born into music. Having traveled and toured for as long as they can remember, it wasn't too surprising when their parents had the boys join them on stage. By the time they turned 10, 12, and 14 the Boyd Family Band became official, and headed out on their first school tour to Beirut, Lebanon. BFB toured for about 4 years when they received an invitation from "America's Got Talent" to audition for the show. After making their way to the celebrity level in Chicago, their audition in front of Piers Morgan, David Hasselhoff and Sharon Osbourne, resulted in them being X’d because the judges didn’t like the parents being in the band. That marked the end of the family band, and the birth of 3union.

The band’s first CD, "Say It Now," was produced by John David Webster and released in July of 2009. Their song, “Hopeless Romantics,” was played on numerous college stations in 2014. Two years later, the band began working on an EP co-produced by Michael Linney (who has worked with artists such as Jason Derulo and Toby Mac), and multi-platinum producer il factor (who has worked with artists including Justin Timberlake, Ricky Martin and Natasha Bedinfield). Titled, "Our Mom Thinks We're Good," it was released in December of 2011. 3union just released their third studio album. "We Could Be," in January 2015, having worked with talented writers like Jeff Owen from Tenth Avenue North and pop sensation, Jon McLaughlin.

From the very beginning 3union has had some amazing performance opportunities including opening for Keith Urban and 'American Idol' champ, Kris Allen, as well as an exclusive side-stage opener in 2013 for the Jonas Brothers on their final tour appearance at Jones Beach, Long Island. They have shared the stage with Group One Crew, Manafest, Hawk Nelson, Sanctus Real, Rend Collective, Jeremy Camp, and Tenth Avenue North. They toured with the Nashville based "eXtreme Tour," won the Ernie Ball Stage "Battle of the Bands" competition on the Van's Warped Tour, and played on the Cartoon Network sponsored "Camplified" tour. On the international scene, they have played in Germany, Turkey, and Lebanon, as well as 2 school tours in Australia.

As their main goal, the brothers are hoping to make a difference in the lives of generations to come. In their own words, “Not only do we want to make a difference, but we want our audiences to know that they can make a difference in the world, too. I guess you could say that our passion is God, and that our job is this band. It doesn't matter how big we become, or what we do in this life - we want our most important thing to be our relationship with Jesus Christ."
