Country United States - Ohio

Adam Bryant is an indie singer-songwriter from the midwest specializing in catchy hooks and melodies. Much like J Mascis from Dinosaur Jr., David Bazaan, and Dave Grohl with the first Foo Fighters album, Adam fronts, writes, and provides the musical fuel for his songs from a seemingly never-ending creative wellspring.

Adam's voice captures a little of the country drawl like The Lemonheads' Evan Dando, but combines it with melody constructions like Ben Folds. He sings hopeful-sounding minor-key melodies over a backdrop of high-energy drums, driving bass lines, choppy rhythms, and some of the catchiest and minimalist guitar hooks you'll ever hear.

Adam Bryant's lyrics come from a stream of his own personal revelations from his experiences in what he calls "a constant struggle to understand." In "Sevens and Elevens," Adam captures a broad spectrum of responses to love and loss, like the satisfaction expressed in "Beautiful Heart," the frustration in the first track, "Better," the despondent fear in "Nothing," and the feeling of triumphant acceptance in "Random Chance."

While Adam built his repertoire, he gained valuable experience playing in clubs and for open audiences in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Fort Collions, Colorado, and Dayton, Ohio. In Dayton, he has played since 2005 with a punk rock outfit entitled "hqax," and the rock and roll band "Sam At Eleven" which emerged from that lineup. He has written over 100 songs and has played to audiences everywhere from High School homecoming dances to coffee shops, public bridges, cowboy bars, punk rock clubs, and a packed National Guard Armory. In fact, he skipped two weeks of school in his senior year to take a 10-hour drive in the hatchback of a Nissan Z-350 to record his first punk rock record with members of Craig's Opinion from Tallahassee, Florida.

Adam grew up in a chaotic family that moved constantly, which brought him through several states and 43 different homes. He learned to play Misfits songs on the guitar at age 13 and has been writing and recording songs, both solo and with bands for 21 years. Although he has recorded a number of songs on his own, Sevens and Elevens is the first solo recordings that he's released to the world.

Factoids: Adam served on active duty with the U.S. Air Force, completed a Ph.D. in computer science, and is raising a large and peculiar family in Dayton, Ohio. He was also college roommates with Zac Brown of the Zac Brown Band.
