A brutal yet melodic release that is centered around the origins of the golden ratio and the concept of logarithmic spirals as they appear in nature and relate to the human condition.
Notes
Phyllotaxis literally means"the arrangement of leaves on a plant stem."
This is the first 6 of 12 songs in total that we wrote in 2013. At the time we had no idea what we were creating but as we continued to put together these tracks we soon realized these songs were arrangements. We thought about what arrangement meant. What it meant to us. They all had very different meanings for all of us but one common thread appeared. we call it the stem. The human condition. This means we could draw metaphors to how we think and formulate our memories. How we arrange our life.
We saw a common line drawn.
We wanted to take the ideas surrounding this idea along with other concepts like the golden ratio and logorithmic spirals and explore them thru the human condition.
We want you to think about this small yet meaningful approach when you hear this album. We hope these arrangements as finite as they may be, allow you to question yours.
