‘Funk My Mojo’ is the solo Funk-Soul-Pop project of Sydney based multi-instrumentalist producer, Adam Lean. Recorded in his studio over the last 5 years, featuring contributions of some well-honed Sydney-based jazz/funk & soul musicians. Namely (in order of appearance) Leyla Nassif: Vocals; John Hardaker: Improvised lead guitar; Radek Zapadlo: Tenor saxophone; Carina Barbro Hagg: Vocals; Alexi Chiotis: Rhythm and lead guitar; Filip Bogusewicz: Electric bass and Mishka (A M De Valliere): Vocals. Performing live around Sydney since 2010, the FMBs have always received great response from performance of tracks such as Superbowl, Little People and Hippies in the Park. This is the first time to release never performed or heard of tracks such as 'Kung Fu Stripper', 'Funkimoto' and 'Put Your Body Where your Mouth is'. A further continuation of Adam's 'big band' production sound, complete with funky horn lines, vintage keyboards, wailing sax and guitar solos and of course, soulful vocals. A tribute to some of the great horn driven Soul-Funk bands of the 70s and 80s.
