The proverbial ' Iron fist inside the Velvet Glove ' Yo combines "Brutal honesty in lyric...with subtle flowing musical verse. A singer songwriter with musical influences from folk to ska.

Yo’s vocals were featured in Alicia Keys’ DVD, “The Diary of Alicia Keys”.
Yo gained international recognition as a founding member of "Harlow". Their début album was released in Europe (CBS), South America (RCA), Japan (Epic/Sony), the U.S. (Graf/SWS), and in Canada (Quantum). The album remained on the Billboard charts for a total of 26 weeks, peaking at #15. As a member of Harlow, she shared the stage with Elton John, Men At Work and Tears For Fears.
She’s written for blues legend Long John Baldry, and Kelita and sung back up vocals for Patti Labelle (C.B.C.), Roch Voisine (The Junos), Liona Boyd and Rita Macneil.

“Graduates (Have Faith)” is the third solo album by Canadian singer/songwriter Yo Vanderkley. A multitude of musical influences from a varied career as lead singer, session singer and writer come together on this disc. From the 60’s flavoured “Time Traveller” to the ska beat of “Trophy Wife”, Yo’s evocative voice and “brutal honesty in lyric” tie these songs together like scenes from a life well lived.
