John P. Hastings is a composer, sound artist and curator based in Brooklyn, NY. His current focus is on the creation of unique sonic environments utilizing novel methods to engage the audience. Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, John has lived in London, UK, Charlottesville, VA, Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and has a Master of Fine Arts degree from the California Institute of the Arts.
AndyK is a producer and multi-instrumentalist living in Los Angeles. He is currently producing an album for his band Red Light Fever. He was born and raised in Reston, VA.
JPH and AndyK met during their college years through mutual friend and musician, Page 7. They got together to jam in LA several years later and their diverse styles clicked instantly. AndyK made the beats and JPH provided the overlying sonic textures. Applying this method and influenced by the writings of Ray Kurzweil, they formed The Singularity and created an instrumental song series with a fusion of digital and analog sound.
