Description

Talking River is an actual place, where remarkable things have happened; the album combines lyric poetry with exceptional guitar work and lush arrangements, celebrating a time of healing, joy, and renewal after darkness.

Notes

A self-taught fingerstyle and rhythm guitarist and bass player, and a finalist in four national songwriting competitions, Adrienne has been called "a setter of songs, as a jeweler who sets a rare stone." Talking River is the second of four solo albums to her credit.
As well as being a professional actress and soloist, Adrienne was a founding member of the Connecticut-based trio, Madwoman in the Attic (with Margo Hennebach and Diane Chodkowski), who won Best Acoustic Band in the Hartford Advocate's Readers' Poll two years running. She and Hennebach, with the accompaniment of Mark Saunders, continue the musical romp with Mad Agnes, presenting lushly arranged acoustic originals richly seasoned with three-part harmony. Find them on the web at www.madagnes.com.
Adrienne's first album, All My Days & Nights, was called "folk poetry" by Dirty Linen Magazine; reviewers praised Talking River's lyrical prowess, exceptional production and inspiring messages. "Voice in the Mirror," writes Rick Foster of the Attleboro Sun Chronicle, "with its sophisticated writing, crystal vocals and near-symphonic arrangements, is a landmark of artistic and technical achievement by an extraordinarily gifted independent artist." Adrienne's fourth recording is a collection of Christmas carols through the centuries. All of these albums are available on CD Baby.
And her voice? Says Joe del Priore of the Hudson Current: "Sound silk, pure and simple."
