Dough Claws… A beginning that could be the end. Numbness, a piano sings for the next day and clouds of noise darken a still sky. Draining them gives birth to rhythm…
Stride… where the gaze shall land. Its center enlarges as melody erects high walls, brisk and invulnerable. The method is simple, what’ s invisible is what moves everything. What triumphs and seems to hold on to a internal power that never reaches the limits of self destruction…
Covered In Scales… or of madness. Covering the footprints there is always the danger of covering your own steps, the very own body that retreats and hides in a ditch of instant silence. Control is the other side of sorrow. Only shaking it off with volume…
Narcoleptic… you get to an end that looks like a beginning. Happy? Underground morbid? Zany? It does not matter. Now the colors lie where everything is clear, the glimpse of light they were expecting is now here.

Surrounding Afformance, is an atmosphere of Krautrock, ambient Post-rock and Prog-pop. It has no regard for straight lines, boundaries, or for what has passed before them. With no anxiety towards the future, this album transcends as a real moment in time. The openness and mastering really add a natural live feel to the entire thing. It is solid as a rock. The instruments sound like I am sitting in the room unchanged by the process of bionics and circuitry. The technology that we use to listen to music is obscure to any other species. Even more so, is the technology we use to create it. It’s hard to find a human touch in electronics. Even more rare, is a band like Afformance.
We’ve pre-ordered the Limited Edition single-sided 12″ ultra-transparent vinyl, we highly suggest that you do the same.

Bio -
Afformance have formed back in 2005.
Since then, they have appeared in numerous live shows in Greece but also in Switzerland and Turkey (often supporting bands such as Grails, Jenniferever, Maybeshewill etc), they have done a mini tour with fellow Nechayevschina to promote their debut (now sold-out) full-length “A Glimpse To The Days That Pass” which was released in 500 handmade CD copies.
Giving an end to their short break that followed, the alt./post rockers Afformance are proudly celebrating the release of their new singlesided 12" EP "The Place" (including the score of the same-titled dance/theater performance) with a tour in the Balkans and Europe which finds them to share the stage of Dunk! Festival in Belgium with important bands as iLikeTrains, pg Lost, Balmorea, Maserati, Kokomo, Kwoon and many others. The exclusive tour-edition of "The Place" on CD format which was available at these shows only got sold-out very quickly.
They are now finishing working on a digital EP release including remixes on released and unreleased songs by close friends and themselves, which is scheduled to be out in November through their bandcamp page. In the same time they are constantly working on their second full-length aiming to be released in the first half of 2014.
With a strong attention to the harmonic musical content and the rich ambience of their previous material, with a new more straight-forward musical approach and with a fresh apettite to present their brand new material to old and new friends, Afformance have finally returned more creative and more active than ever.
