We come from and are veterans of the indie rock from the late 1980s and 1990s. Our music carries on the tradition of rock-n-roll from its origins. All rock-n-roll is local.
On October 23, 2010, A Cast of Thousands released their debut self-titled album at Auburn Public Theater. That night the band played to an audience of 100 people. The performance was marked by an electricity that was quite different from the sparse production of the album they were just releasing. Something else was happening and audience loved it. Within weeks A Cast of Thousands started to plan another record which tried to capture the energy of that night with explosive percussion, unbridled feedback, and the intensity which fed off of the live experience. "Aqua Fur" is a sincere document from a studio that re-constructed a momentary live experience over a 9 month period. For those interested in this premise...Enjoy.
