Description

New World Order is ACOMA's Debut Album Release. Behind the driving motivation of "Unbreakable" to the cries of "Bringing the Violence", ACOMA opens the door to a "Nightmare" world of personal struggles in an oppressive age.

Notes

In the age of empires the mighty warriors clashed for control of the world. That time has come again to take back control of the world we so rightfully inherited. Our will has been subdued, our thoughts have been redirected, and our faith has been tarnished. Through these trials we must awaken to the harsh reality that we have lost our way. The oppressors taunt us with what they have taken, Our Will.

We plan to do our part to open the eyes fo the weak, show them their reality and challenge them to take back their lives. In our eyes, the Gladiators and Warriors are the spirits of our metal culture. We must carry on that will and not let our culture continue to be ridiculed and shunned. Instead, we will show the world that we will not be lead into the life of a drone and that we will take back control of our world and live our lives the way we see fit. Not what some industry driven machine thinks the most profitable life is for them.

ACOMA began with two brothers, Steve (vocals) and Dave (guitar),who both shared the idea that will bring back the glory and respect that the metal community so greatly deserves. ACOMA has come a long way from the swamps of Louisiana and will continue to fight for our people, the metal community, with a strength and determination that will never die. Along that way there was a search for the right members who shared that same mindset. In late 2006 the search ended and ACOMA had been completed. Alex (drums) a native of California, joined ACOMA. Now it will only be a matter of time before METAL will have its strength and glory restored.

WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO LOSE THAT HAS NOT ALREADY BEEN TAKEN?

ACOMA = TO AWAKEN FROM THE SUBDUED SLEEP!!!!!

ACOMA is a band set on awakening and leading the Metal Culture which has fallen out of touch and lost much of it\'s once respected and feared presence. We believe that metal has become intangled in a social web not unlike the one we claim to hate. We see fans fighting about what band is heavier or sicker or faster or looks like zombies or screams more or ..... well you see where this is going. Metal used to be about rebellion against oppression we all hated the idea of trying to fit in with the popular crowd, we stood for own beliefs, likes and dislikes and fuck all who told us otherwise. Now you have to like certain bands or dress a specified way to be cool with certain clicks and that sounds a lot like what the popular crowds do the \"outcasts\" . Acoma believes that metal is metal and that is it no labels or classes just a shared attitude. Our music comes from what we see, experience, and feel in everyday life. We have grown up in music ranging from Areosmith to Six Feet Under we play because we love music and the power it can invoke in everyone. We believe the metal culture is the strongest of all yet we get looked down upon by the outsiders, well it\'s time to change that and take back our respect and rain down fear on the weak minded oppression.
As we say in the World Metal Alliance, Unite & Conquer!!

The Edge Magazine re-view :
\"Hailing from Austin, Tx. these guys enjoy
making heavy music, but they seem to enjoy
more of the groove metal style. The album has a
good start with \"Burn\" which showcases the
groove metal that\'s rooted in this group and of
course the epic song, \"Nightmare\" which is a
pretty heavy fan favorite at their live shows....
\"New World Order\" is groove heavy through
an d through, and is a good album.... All and all
these guys do not disappoint.\"
