First released in 1995, Coming of Age was the debut CD
from Acoustic Endeavors. Widely praised by critics and
peers, the CD was not widely distributed to radio at the
time. Chances are, you are seeing it now for the first time.
The album went out of print and was unavailable for several years. When the band returned to active performing and recording in 1999, calls for a reissue of Coming of Age started to be heard.
After completing their Sneak Preview CD in 2000 (currently out of print), the band was hard at work on their next new project, On A Farm. When plans were being finalized for the Coming of Age reissue, the band elected to include two new recordings featuring the current band.
These two new tracks (Can’t Be Found and Out On The Line)
were composed by founding members Warren Amberson and Kelly Green, just like the rest of the material on the CD. With some minor revisions in the cover art and two new cuts, it was decided to retitle the project, Coming of Age... again.
What they said about Coming of Age...Again:
“Fine original music creatively constructed. The vocals are strong, correct and pleasing to the ear; there is plenty of individualism on display here, nowhere does it get swallowed up in complexity and there’s no disrespect for tradition. The result is entertaining and inspiring. A most impressive first effort.”
Bluegrass Now
“Top flight bluegrass recording. Tight vocal harmonies and hot picking. What stands out about this disc are the melodies. The tunes themselves are downright contagious.”
Acoustic Musician Magazine
“The hallmark of this band is its originality. Professional and tireless in their efforts to please audiences, I would say that Acoustic Endeavors is a band to watch.”
