Notes
Memories of places and times, sometimes people in your life, times from your childhood when you didn't have a care in the world, can be a powerful inspiration to help you through the troubled waters of modern life. Those lazy summer days that seemed to last forever. A beautiful sunset...lying on your back looking at the vast expanse of the universe, beneath the stars. Standing out in the summer rain...These tracks are little snapshots from my life in music.
Beneath the Stars came into being when my friend announced that she was expecting her daughter Caia, and I just had to mark this happy news with something special. And so "A New Life" was written. Then she asked me to write some more music to help her relax and chill out through out the pregnancy. So I looked to my past for inspiration and have tried to conjure up musical images of those times and places and times that have made me happy and been at peace.
I hope when you listen, you will drift away to places that hold fond thoughts and memories for you, drift away on the soundscape of life. Enjoy.
