Notes
Hailing from South Carolina and New Jersey, respectively, Dallas Corbett and Dan Rainey could be considered a significant culture clash; however, you would never know by watching their interaction on stage.
The two met in Charleston, South Carolina in 2011 when Corbett called upon Dan Rainey to help record what, at the time, was intended to be her solo, debut-release, the pair discovered that they collaborated so well together that they immediately began an intense string of songwriting sessions which would eventually become, Wrenwood.
A significant amount of songs from those early songwriting sessions have now found their way onto Wrenwood’s upcoming, debut-release which channels the smokier elements of the late Etta James paired with the rootsy, honesty of Gillian Welch.
