Notes
Kevin Jackson began creating music when he was about 14 in Buffalo, NY. He started out under the name SOS and did a few live P.A.s under that name.
The live performances consisted of a keyboard, TB-303, 909 drum machine, a cassette tape player for samples and a microphone.
The best part of the show would be the opening where he would come out with a strobe light and some crazy creepy ambient music playing in the background wearing a gas mask.
Unfortunately there was only one live video taping of one of the live performances but someone was using a furnace for a tripod and it melted the video camera. after a few years have passed and computers started to become a good tool of audio editing he began to create tracks on there. This is when Aktium was born. from 1999 to 2000 he was able to put together Ocean of Time. Sonic love was the first track and then it went on from there.
My influences range from Aphex twin, the orb, Nine inch nails, and Tipsy. Towards the end of the production he got really sick and took a good 2 months or so off. Then made him self jump back on the horse and finish what he created. Once he finished the album he only gave it away to a few friends.
Now that it has been almost 10 years since the album has been finished he decided to re-release it.
Kevin has also been doing a lot of multimedia work the past several years. One music video from the album was actually created from a group of his friends for the song "Prefer People Dressed"
