Two and a half years after Alexa Borden's ethereal release of her debut album "Speck in the Universe", Borden releases one of two parts of her sophomore release "Flares". This bombastic and heavy EP is clearly electronically influenced, while still retaining Alexa's tuneful charm and fragility that she portrayed in her 2010 release of SITU. "It's really just about discovering yourself." Says Alexa, "And learning to accept your life for what it is...Making the most out of it."
