Voice in Wind VI

After my studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, I moved to New York for a couple of years, for Jazz Music! After my years in America, I attended the Eurovision Song Contest in Brussels Belgium, representing my country Cyprus!
My song Aspro-Mavro became Platinum in all Scandinavian countries. Then my career in Greece began from 1987 until today. However, sometime round about 2000, I needed a rest from the whirlwind concept of 'Career' and I began to feel the need to redefine who I am, what I am here to do further than what I have already achieved- (over 20 albums (until 2000, over 35 today, 2012)-, so I decided to take time off from the Greek industry, to Travel, Compose, take Creative Writing workshops and ENJOY my existence and my artistry by singing out of the context of record companies': "modus vivendi", or philosophy. Of course, being a musician and having studied music, I always rebelled to their dogmas and did exactly what I deemed as Musically desirable but this time I was ready and eager for a new way of BEING! Of Existing!
And so, I began wandering in a most adventurous new path, which filled me with a deep connection with the Cosmos, with myself, with others. I had already begun to compose parts of Re-bE but the process being so intense, always required of me to take time apart from Re-bE every few months, only to re-approach it with Re-newed Energy, Fervor, Love, Enthusiasm, a little later.
In one of these times away from Re-bE and safely apart from the Music Industry of Greece, I reached a great realization: everything became Music:
The acoustics of an empty staircase, the rain.. the voices of people in a crowded room, the street sounds at night, at dusk, in the early morning at all times of my days and nights..
So, I became as Ecstatic as ever, to roam the streets, the forests, the towns, the countries of the universe also inside of me..
These elements helped me discover and understand so much more of me.!
Shorter version:
One night, as I flew from Athens to Thessaloniki (the capital of Northern Greece) and arrived at the house where I was staying, as I was still holding my suitcase, the extention of my hand it seems...
I heard the most mesmerizing sound.! Music coming from the fireplace..
I dropped my suitcase by my bedroom door, I took out my recording equipment and ran towards the fireplace.
I lay my head deep in the mouth of the fireplace and began to record while listening and I listened and I listened and then on occasion I would sing a phrase. The sound of the wind singing was so melodious and harmonious, the perfect song.
With this, my 1st recording of Voice and Wind began, to continue with Voice In Wind, which means my actual recording totally raw and unedited: the Wind with my Voice..
Then a whole series of these experimental recordings continued to take place connecting me more and more with my Authentic Nature and to my Authentic Voice, to my Identity, my Individuality, to everyone and everything around me.!
I consciously became a part of the ALL, OLON in Greek.
