Alex Renaud is born on December 31st, 1985 in Canada, Quebec City ! He’s a singer-songwriter, guitarist, drummer, percussionnist, and bassist.
He started to play drum at the age of 14 and he also learned to play guitar with the help of his older brother almost in the same period of his life. They had a band together, ”Big Fat Cake” (or BFC) ! The music they were writing was influenced by ”Punk-Rock” music! This is during this period that Alex started to write his own songs!
After, he has done a College Diploma in Music , with drum and percussion specialties! During this period, he started to play as a drummer with a Rock-Progressive band that was called ”Rictus” ! They played lots of shows in bars and festival at Quebec City in 2006 !
In 2007, Alex entered as a drummer in a Rock-Metal band that was called : ”Third Pole” ! He played lots of Rock covers and Rock-Metal compositions with his band from 2007 until 2009 ! (http://www.myspace.com/thirdpole)
In 2010, He decide to put himself more into his compositions, his songwriting and his way to improve his playing !
In 2011, He started recording his own Official CD of 13 songs in a Studio of one of his friend! He recorded all the instruments ( Guitar,Bass,Drum,Vocal), except the piano in the song ”I miss you”, wrote by Max Grenier ( http://www.myspace.com/maxgrenier)
The Official version of the CD : ”Feel The Present” is available since July 22nd 2014 ! It has an Alternative-Rock sound with some punk influence !
Now, he is in the processes of recording his second CD , that should go out in the summer 2015 !
” It’s gonna sounds more acoustic, still with alternative influences. I'm growing a lot during my travelling experience in Central America, and I’m sure that people will feel this! I’m very proud of the direction that my compositions takes.”
