Description
If you want to laugh or just relax with a blend of your favorite coffee, my compositions fuse classical as well as modern styles, giving the listener a refreshingly new musical experience; so sit back and enjoy the show.
Notes
From Jonathan: Even before this album came to fruition, I’ve always enjoyed composing songs that made friends or strangers laugh, cry or maybe just think, “that’s really cool and interesting!” It comes down to this: if I don’t play with all my soul, I feel as if I’m cheating myself and the listener. By sharing my thoughts and experiences through these songs, I hope they remind you of something in your life; perhaps a bad roommate experience, maybe your favorite coffee shop, relationships, you get the idea :-) Music is meant to be shared, so if you want to push back that homework assignment for a little or forget about that TPS report, listen to some of my song samples. Thanks for stopping by!
Boston College Student Review: “what can i say. the music you have written has changed my life. MY LIFE jonny Y! ever since i heard such classics as coffee shop, dave ur a loser, sumimasen, and of course the zelda tribute, my existence has been given new meaning. . . i will buy tshirts for all my friends and relatives. and perhaps all the frosh here at bc as well. or at least all the ones worthy to bear your glorious standard.”
Album Description: Jonathan’s new solo album is, as the title suggests, “Loosey Goosey.” The songs range from lighthearted trivial moments to serious reflections. The piano is mostly in the foreground with layered vocals and a blend of synthesized sounds from the 80s to the present. Jonathan is both the composer and performer.
