Description

EgoPhobia is the debut album of the german Industrial / Alternative Metal Band X-Vivo.

Notes

If taking a closer look at their history ‚What doesn’t kill us is making us stronger’ could be the key-note of this german Industrial / Alternative Metal band. Originally founded back in 2005, X-Vivo recreated itself in 2011 after several setbacks and changes in their line-up.

Now with the concept turned upside down the bond of music and visual performance is stronger than ever and the sound has become more versatile. Inspired by bands like Slipknot, Nine Inch Nails and Kidneythieves it’s now a combination of heavy riffs with synthetic sounds, pianos and electronic beats. Moreover the four different voices starting from harsh shouts, rap vocals and clean singing are also a stylistic device of the band.

Performing on stage X-Vivo are five bundles of energy that rock their asses off. Stage elements of light and wires that could be a part of “Resident Evil” meet “Mad Max” outfits and serial killer priests. Dirty body parts and black tooth polish are included and cause confusion even long before the actual show.

Altogether there are already three releases on the account of X-Vivo. After their first demo-EP “Evil One” a full-length album called “EgoPhobia” followed in 2009 combining several years of band history. In 2013 they published the remix EP “Out Of The Smell Of Decay”, that shows new facets of selected tracks of their debut album and proves the diversity of X-Vivo’s genre.
