Description
Goth techno, with a sprinkle of gloom, some spills of energy drink, and a dash of dark spices. Enjoy.
Notes
Where do I begin?
The whole thing started when I was in the army from 1999, to 2000. I had guard duty, sitting in a booth, letting cars in and out of the camp and noting down license plate numbers. But let's be honest: There was a lot of time where not much was happening so I bought a midi keyboard for my laptop which included a free version of cubase. That is where it all began. I started fiddling around with that, and soon inspiration for a whole new way to kill time in the army was there. I had lots of time to practice, and with the internet growing, and mp3.com growing with it, I decided on making music. I needed a unique name. Not, "techno dude" or anything like that since I wanted to make my music unique. So the name Xanitra came around in my head after some months of banging my head to the left wall of the booth.
Things changed, but things happened. I left the army. I didn't want to stay there after my mandatory year, but I took Xanitra with me. I bought my own domain, and started making contacts who apreciated my remixes for them. I started buying studio equipment to perfect my sound, from the time 2000 to 2004 was a very productive time for me. Most of the material from the Xanitra days was created at that time. I wasn't really doing well in school though, because of all the time I was spending producing music (and playing games when I needed a break.) By that time I'd also gotten myself a girlfriend who would later become my wife. This, along with a few kids, and piracy which was one of the main reasons mp3.com died was the main reasons for the lack of Xanitra activity in recent years (2005-2011). I've produced some songs in the freetime I am allowed, but as a family man I haven't been able to produce as much as I want to. Gaming is also taking up some of my time.
In 2012 I upgraded my studio again, and joined cdbaby.com. There, I made a double album of the best songs I've made from 2000-2010.
CDbaby is a site which I believe has existed as long as (former) mp3.com has, so here's hoping that maybe some of you will like my music, buy my CD, or at least some songs you like. This so I can continue a passion of mine, making a mix of dark techno goth ambient speedcore, for your and my pleasure.
Peace, and may the bass be with you, always.
