Notes
Hello Children and Big Folks too – Here are 12 happy holiday songs, just for you!
Parent, child and classroom-tested, these special songs have become enduring favorites in schools, libraries and homes, across the US and beyond.
For Halloween, surprise absolutely everyone with “Say Boo!” and rock on with the “Boogie Woogie Pumpkin Man”. For Thanksgiving, move, groove and feel your gratitude with “I Want To Say Thank You” – and then, clap, stomp, spin and bow with a fresh new “Turkey In The Straw”. Celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and the lights of the luminous season with “Many Lights” a beloved multicultural December holidays song selected to be played at Clinton White House holiday festivities. Then share “what comes from the heart, goes to the heart”, singing “My Forever Valentine”, with someone you love. And more.
The Holiday Songs collection is brought to you by songwriter, musician and educator, Wendy Rollin. Twice the recipient of ASCAP awards for children’s music, she is the creator of TeachChildrenMusic.com a rich and fun-filled music resource for all who teach children.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, she has served as a school music director and music teacher since 1997. She has appeared as a presenter for annual conferences of The National Association for the Education of Young Children, Ohio’s Bowling Green State University, The Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children, The Early Childhood Association of Florida, Macomb College, The National Head Start Association, The Michigan Association Of Non-Public Schools, along with various regional groups and conferences.
Also known as “The Piano Lady”, Wendy is an entertainer as well as an educator.
As a pianist, she has performed for a wide variety of audiences of all ages in many places, including The Ark, in Ann Arbor – and Canada’s Lawrence Centre for the Arts, among a multitude of cultural and entertainment venues.
Joining with Wendy Rollin to bring you Holiday Songs is a gifted and high-spirited cast of theatre performers, pop vocalists, a children’s chorus and musical friends. (As seen in individual song credits.) Now, you're invited to join us too!
