My music is very Brazilian. It is very Afro-brazilian. It is inspired on my family and hometown' s background. It is very Salvador da Bahia. It is nice and soft. You can notice the waves of the sea, the wind, Mother Earth and fire playing together and having some fun. Almost all great Brazilian songwriters from Dorival Caymmi and Luiz Gonzaga to Gilberto Gil and Milton Nascimento are major inspirations. The harmonies of the Beach Boys and the Beatles are also a great inspiration as well as Bossa Nova chords.
You can find so many kind of Brazilian and Caribbean rhythms on this CD. Tambor de Mina do Maranhão, Samba de Roda da Bahia, Samba Coco de Pernambuco, Samba Urbano do Rio de Janeiro, Cumbia, Toada de Minas Gerais, Bossa Nova, among others, are performed on this Album full of colour. Everything was made with love and care. We are all together!
