Note

Included in this CD are cover and original songs from many of my LP's from over 35 years of recording. I have recorded 4 new songs to add to this collection and wrote one new song called Beautiful New Brunswick describing my home province. These are songs i performed with my band The Blue Diamond Show Band and from my last CD, "Whiskey Bent & Crazy". A lot of these songs were hits for me in the 60s & 70s when my band was listed as Canada's #1 show band and I was known as the East Coast Ambassador.

The Blue Diamonds recorded over 35 LP's during this period and performed throughout Canada and the US, on radio TV. fairs festivals, clubs, military bases and prisons etc. and during our lengthy stay at the House Shoe Tavern in Toronto we shared the stage with many great performers such as Bill Anderson, Hank Snow, Webb Pierce, Charlie Pride, Tex Ritter, Mac Wiseman, Charlie Walker, Red Sovine, Jean Sheppard, Skeeter Davis, Waylon Jennings, Louvrin Brothers, Johnny Paycheck, Gordie Tapp, Mercy Brothers, John Allen Cameron, Ronnie Profit, Jerry Reid, Stompin Tom Coners, Orvil Profit, Lucille Star, Myrna Laurie, Faron Young, Gary Buck, Hank Williams Jr., Ned Laundry, Graham Townson, Harry Hibbs, Roy Payne, George Hamilton 4th, Aubury Hanson, George Hector, Doug Kershaw, Fred McKenna, lvan & Vivian Hicks and many more too numerous to mention.

In the mid 70's I moved back to New Brunswick and built my own club Al's Red Lantern of which I performed there and across the Maritimes and the USA. I recorded 3 new CD's during this period. I was inducted in the country hall of fame in 1990. I’m currently working on 2 new CDS called My Favourite Love Songs, Just Make it Right With Jesus, with my lovely wife Brenda. I hope you will be proud to include this CD to your collection and enjoy the many songs I have included in this project.
