Notes

A composer/guitarist with 30 years of concert, silent film and theatre work, along with several releases with the alt trio, REV. Much of his work merges 'new music' and film scoring, bringing new concert music to more diverse audiences.

Recently released on iTunes includes "Lullabies For People Who Don't Need Sleep", (song collection), "All The Luck" (Clarinet and Orchestra), and the Piano Concerto ("Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde": Turner Classic Movies).

Kryszak's “Broken Blossoms” silent film score also premiered at The Film Society of Lincoln Center and released on iTunes and Turner Classic Movies, with other original scores. Concert Music has been featured at Carnegie Recital Hall, The World Financial Center, Symphony Space, The Los Angeles Directors Guild, The Kitchen, Arts at St. Ann's, Mabou Mines, The Atlantic Center for the Arts, among other venues.

The live recording of the silent film score for The Hunchback of Notre Dame, (recorded at the World Trade Center in 1999), is released in Spring 2014. Terry Champlin's direction of the virtuosic Mannes Guitar Ensemble, holds down the classical guitar foundation for soloist flutist Michael Colquhoun, with cellist Bryan Eckenrode and Alto Joyce Kryszak.

This April, a collection of piano works called Transparent Preludes, is premiered by Ivan Docenko; In May, a new choral work will be premiered by the Harmonia Chamber Choir, directed by Robert Pacillo. Current theatre scores include "An Illiad", for hammered dulcimers, recorders and chorus, premiered in March by Road Less Traveled Theater.

Kryszak's film, concert & Alt music is available through iTunes & KINO International, and works in video and painting are viewable at AlanKryszak.com.
