Notes
The Perfect Pill pride themselves in making every note of every song of every album or every show a perfect incarnation and mix of the raw, intense emotion they feel. Because they want the listener to experience this along with them they create precise, elaborate and sharp musical curves and chicanes, perfectly performed and orchestrated to make the experience most enjoyable.
While only being a duo, they easily manage to mix rock and flirt heavily with electronica and other musical genres, creating a huge live sound. The guitarist/vocalist has all the power to create spacious and amazing sounds with his 2.1 stereo guitar setup with amps and effects, plus a low end line with bass effects. While the drummer, also being powered by pedals, a midi drum sampler and keys and effects, is the rhythm and pulse anchor that keeps everything spot on. Another part of their team is the sound man who also manipulates live special effects. They connect all of these elements with powerful live visualizations, scenography and lighting to create an intense live show.
Having started the year by playing live on national TV at the M.A.M.A. Awards (the Lithuanian version of the Grammy's), the band has a full summer of touring set up to let as many people as they can hear the new record.
“It’s been about a year since our first live performances. The album is a reflection of that year – says the duo members Germanas Skoris and Josh McClung. “We’ve achieved a lot, and a lot has been said about us and our music that we’ve played in Lithuania and abroad, so this time we want our new creations to speak for us.”
The guys also tell us that Josh played five different instruments on the album, Germanas eight, the recordings took about nine months to complete, the band recorded all of there songs in their own studio in Vilnius, there are at least 10 different styles represented on the new album and seven different musicians are guests on the new record.
Right now they are touring in Lithuania and will be playing at all of the biggest festivals there. They’ll also be touring the album in Russia and Finland this summer.
