And That’s the News grew from the passion and appreciation of music founding members Alex Dolven, Ben Dougherty, and Jacob Tracy all shared. Soon after recruiting Will Profitt, the band found its stride; and, their latest member, Mattea Williams, adds beautiful dynamics.
And That’s the News (often referred to as ATTN) was once garage rock sessions, but has since evolved to encompass unique musical and visual identities. Along with appealing and consistent branding, their songs are cohesive and well composed, recalling indie, pop, and rock inspirations from Death Cab for Cutie, Imagine Dragons, Smallpools and more. Grounded in catchy guitar and synth leads accompanying thoughtful lyrics, ATTN pumps out energetic new sounds for a new generation.
And That’s the News also sports an impressive repertoire of live performances, and continues to gain experience in making their shows increasingly entertaining under varying conditions. Residing in the heart of the Napa Valley and a strong member of the community, ATTN has played events such as the Napa Earthquake Relief Benefit at BurgerFi, the Relay for Life Cancer Research Benefit, and school fundraisers. Additionally, the band demonstrates expertise, comfort, and adaptability in professional live shows, performing at local venues including Silo’s, the Napa Community Arts Center, Oxbow Public Market, Napa Valley Porchfest, and more.

After years of refined songwriting and hard work, ATTN is ready to release their debut album, Antiheroes. Recorded and produced by the band itself, then professionally mixed and mastered, Antiheroes reflects the band’s steady rise of talent, creativity, and passion.
