Description
As the title of the album, coupled with the album cover itself, suggests, this music is elemental in its concept, explicitly designed to emulate the construction and destruction of waves and tides, but social and contemplative in its construction and arrangement, as we peer into the mind of a man who has arrived at the point of fact of having nothing to lose. We have designed this music such that its listeners will be made to contemplate the tumult and unity of the processes that compel the human person to degradation and consternation, both chronologically and essentially. The music follows a logical and natural order, and the listener is encouraged to listen as such in order to receive the full experience that we seek to facilitate.
Notes
Immersed is the second of three steps in a scheme of albums designed to place the listener in a state of contemplative discord, thematically engaging the mind of a man who has lost his will to preserve himself, and thus has begun a desperate plunge deep into the recesses of his own mind, where he seeks to qualify his existence and the objects of his world away from all that has brought him suffering. As a band, this album represents a pivotal motion in a certain direction that we have sought to both quantify and justify for many years. That justification has finally arrived, and with it, the listener should expect to hear elements of a transition from new to old. For in examining the mind of this man in theory, it has compelled an examination of our own minds in practice, and in this we have begun to bring back to light that which we once buried so deep. Expect great things.
