Description
A concept rock album about loving & losing, featuring guest talent local and abroad.
Notes
A candid concept album about love lost and found, hopes longed for, and the mistakes a heart can make in the search for a deep connection, learning from the four women I've loved: the Enduring Wife, the Scottish Rocker, the Greek Girlfriend, and the Unrequited Italian.
The songs vary across several genres, from acoustic alternative to Celtic to hard rock, with influences including The Beatles, Billy Joel, Imagine Dragons, Jars of Clay, Snow Patrol, and Toto. Guest talent includes indies and locals I've come to admire: Adam Gardino, The American Rogues, Mike Everett, Brandon Davis, Coles Whalen, Jimmy Ashley, Kelly Champlin, Riccardo Gioggi and my brother, singer/songwriter Philip Sharp.
This project was three years in the making, recorded in several studios local and abroad, largely self-produced and mastered by Channel Fuse Media out of Nashville. It begins with a couplet of covers, followed by twelve originals – four of which earned kudos from the Song of the Year contest.
